Formentera: Below you will find some Formentera facts and figures, useful if you are visiting this small island, south of Ibiza in the Balearic Islands, Spain.
Formentera: A tiny island lying to the south of Ibiza in the Spanish Balearic Islands, Formentera is a beautiful and peaceful place, as yet largely unspoilt by tourism, yet relying on it for its economic survival. Its secluded, sandy beaches are clean and uncrowded, so Formentera is certainly the place to head for a restful holiday. There is accommodation to be found on the island, though there is a pleasant lack of high-rise hotels and apartment blocks to spoil the scenery and feel of the place. Think about hiring a bike rather than a car and get to see the best of what this charming little island has to offer. The capital is Sant Francesc and the largest resort is Es Pujols, thoug neither is crowded or spoilt by tourism.
